Community IT

What We Do

We provide a practical, responsible route for unwanted IT equipment, built on real repair experience with schools, local authorities and community projects across South Wales.

IT equipment collection

We collect unwanted computers, laptops, tablets, monitors and other IT equipment from schools, businesses, charities, council-run bodies and organisations.

Secure data wiping

Data security matters. Data-bearing equipment is processed before reuse, donation, resale, parts use or recycling.

Testing and triage

Devices are checked to understand condition, age, specification, faults, missing parts and suitability for reuse.

Repairs and refurbishment

Where practical, devices are repaired, upgraded and prepared for a second life, drawing on experience repairing iPads, laptops, Chromebooks, PCs and school technology.

Community redistribution

Suitable equipment may be donated or supplied at low cost to schools, charities, community groups, local people or projects supporting digital inclusion.

Responsible recycling

Equipment that cannot be reused is handled through appropriate recycling routes.

Impact reporting

Where appropriate, we can provide a simple summary of equipment received and how it was handled.

What we can and cannot accept

We aim to reuse as much equipment as possible, but some items may be too old, damaged, incomplete, locked, unsupported or uneconomical to refurbish. Where equipment cannot be reused, we will aim to recycle it responsibly.
